Trade Associations
Kalik Lewin
represents several trade associations as general counsel, advising
associations on all operational and constituent services issues.
The firm has developed several trade associations in a variety
of industries and its principals have served on the boards of
directors of associations and as executive officers responsible
for the day-to-day management of association operations.
Governance
As Counsel
to both trade associations and other non-profit entities, including
international fraternal organizations, Kalik Lewin has extensive
experience in the formation and organization of not-for-profit
entities, including entity selection, preparation of governing
documents and structuring the operations of the organization.
Legislation
The career
experience of the principals in the management of trade associations
and non-profit organizations provide a unique perspective on
the role of the association in monitoring legislative developments
affecting the association and its membership. Together with
prior experience as Congressional staffers, this allows the
principals of Kalik Lewin to be unusually effective in developing,
drafting and lobbying on legislation of interest to the association.
The firm addresses legislative issues through a multi-disciplinary
approach leveraging political capital, legal expertise and strong
relationships across the executive branch and in the Senate
and House of Representatives to manage political risks and craft
legislative solutions for its clients.
